A Fresh Form Of Recruitment

Payment And Holiday

Before you start a temporary position, we’ll explain how temping works and we’ll also send you an Assignment Handbook. It’s important to read the handbook carefully, as it contains essential information including a Code of Conduct, Terms of Engagement, and probably most importantly for you, re-confirms exactly how you get paid.

For ease of reference we’ve provided the following summaries, relating to payment and holiday, for people engaged in temporary assignments.

We have never had a single incident of someone not being paid, when they have submitted their timesheet correctly and on time. We’re very thorough, because we want your pay to be correct and prompt.

Payment:

  • We must have your bank details and P45/P46 in order to pay you.
  • The working week finishes on a Friday and the strict deadline for timesheet submission is 10am the following Monday.
  • Your timesheet must be signed by you AND your line manager.
  • If your timesheet is incomplete or late, this may delay your payment.
  • You’re paid directly into your bank account the following Friday, via BACS.
  • You will receive a payslip in the post, showing your gross pay, net pay and statutory deductions (Tax and NI).

Holiday Pay:

  • As a temporary worker, you are entitled to the equivalent of 24 days / 4.8 weeks holiday per year, pro-rata.
  • As a percentage, this is equal to 10.17% of base rate pay for a 5-day week worker.
  • For the time you work, this 10.17% accrues as a ‘holiday pay fund’.
  • The book holiday, firstly agree the time off with your line manager.
  • To claim your holiday pay, simply contact us the week before you take holiday and we’ll process this for you in the following week’s payroll.
  • Your weekly payslip will only show your base rate.
